A Pair of Mitts

I like this lace pattern; I picked it up when I knit the FLS a while back and it has always appealed to me.

Using Shibui sock sock yarn (50g/ 191yards) in honey (what else?) I knit these up on two needles, flat, and sewed together using a simple mattress stitch leaving a gap for the thumb.

They're a snug fit, just right for autumn, keeping the hands warm and nimble enough to go conker hunting!

And why did I feel the need to add some more FLS to my collection? Ah.... well, that is another story. I'll tell you tomorrow...

  1. Beautiful mitts! They remind me of the lace pattern I'm currently knitting... I might have to make a pair of mitts to go with my new socks :)
