Postcards from the Edge :: 9

My husband will be relieved to learn that despite being hundreds of miles away I am still able to thrift some kick ass vintage things. Including a(nother) vintage typewriter, G-Plan mirror and Witney woollen blankets still in the boot of the car. I know. He'll be so thrilled.

  1. We once went on a communal holiday to France with about 9 or 10 families. One afternoon all the ladies went off to a flea market, as we left one of the blokes called to his wife 'And don't come back with any more shit'. It got a ripple of agreement. She bought a rather nice chair in revenge, I got pillowcases...

  2. I think you and I would have a blast shopping together. For some reason in the last year or so i want everything to look vintage; is this some sort of disorder or what?

  4. Thrifting probably is a mental illness - it's a little bit like treasure hunting.

The just surprised me really - it looked so retro trying to be vintage that it was a pleasant discovery to find to be really old.
