Sometimes I think that if I didn't have the ability to get out of the city, to get away from people, noise, traffic, smell, if I didn't have places to run to so we could walk, walk, walk til there was no walk left in us, in places that nourish us body and soul, I think I would either explode or go mad.

Thank God for brisk walks, crisp air, frosty leaves, crunching twigs, welcoming trees and old haunts. Thank God for the forests, the red kites, the things to study and investigate, and most importantly, the space - to exhale, and to breath.

  1. After a weekend in NYC, return to suburbia excites me, with no greater pleasure than a walk in the woods! Even trudging through a snow and ice covered path is a thrill--outside of the city. Great photos!

  2. It's getting harder to find the quiet places isn't it? Even aeroplane noises are beginning to grate on my nerves....
