Thankyou, Vicky! Well, chocolate and cream you can't go wrong can you? My cakes always look a bit funny but they taste just fine. No complaints from my birthday boy! :)
Thankyou! Indeed, in fact there are very few pieces of crockery in my house that arent vintage these days! you passed through my mind that day too - my brother came all the way down from Buxton to be with us - his daughter said 'are we in a different country?' because she was so unused to warm weather LOL!
Apprently she's developed a very Buxtonian view on the weather - she'll look out of the window and say 'well it's not raining now, but we'd better take a brolly because it might later'... bless her.
That is one tasty looking bithday cake.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday.

ReplyDeleteI think your niece may not be far wrong! We had 28C on Sunday, most un-nerving. Back to the usual now. 16C or so and plenty of rain...
