How heavily it dies
Into the west away;
Past touch and sight and sound
Not further to be found,
How hopeless under ground
Falls the remorseful day."
from "XVI - (How clear, how lovely bright)" by A.E. Housman, expressing in such perfect succinctness what I failed to convey in a whole post here in The Sun Always Sets.

I remembered that post about your dad and how the picture of God's sunset and your words went so perfectly together. As I get older I realize how we all go seamlessly together with God. Poets are great and they express so well our feelings, but all of us can express our heart and it is just as important and beautiful. Thank you for putting the two posts together.
ReplyDeleteThankyou. These words really resonate with me today.
