I apologise now for the inordinate amount of garden shots I will probably burden you with again this year. I can't help it. I love every stage of a plant's life. I could just sit and watch and watch and drink it all in without blinking for months. It is so soothing to watch it all unfold, to see it all link into the whole.

I love to see the birds flit into and out of our garden, watch the ants drink from the blossom, and later, pick the fruit. It centres me like nothing else can.

So humour me, OK?

Currently enjoying the blossom popping up everywhere. The white flowers look just like popcorn, don't you think? I can almost hear the soundtrack that goes with this unfolding - it is the soundtrack of a popcorn machine.... pop! .... Pop! .... pop! pop! ..... pop! pop! pop! pop!popopopopopopopopopopopopopopopop.... and then the tree is covered.

And each spring I'm reminded of my little boys when they were even littler than they are now - they would point and say, 'Uck! (look) Snow twees!!' ... ahhh... or they would say the trees looked like they had icing on. And they do. They look like all this and more.

I love this time of year.

  1. Funny you should say this, but all the blossom trees here are actually holding a couple of inches of snow here! Bonkers. I hope it doesn't ruin their beauty once it's gone. Great pics though xx

  2. Yeah these pics taken a couple of days ago. Right now all our fruit trees covered in fleece otherwise temps and possible snow would kill them dead.
