FLS in Quince

DSC_0001

I've been working on this sweater, on and off, for a couple months now. It's the February Lady Sweater by Flintknits, an adaption of Elizabeth Zimmermann's classic baby sweater. I'm in no hurry to finish it even though the weather demands that we wear long sleaves in the coldest, wettest, damnedest summer I've ever known (I mentioned our weather is crazy bad at the moment, yes? Yes. OK). I've been enjoying the process a whole lot with this make. I am taking my time, trying so very hard not to drop a stitch (fail) and to keep the lace pattern in check (semi-fail), and trying to keep this project going as long as possible because, well, I'm enjoying it so very much.

Part of the reason I am relishing this project I am quite sure lies in the fact that I love this yarn. Yes, I know I say that a lot about yarn, but of all the yarn I have ever loved this is The One. It is by Quince & Co. (in Finch). It is just dreamy to knit with and the colours are just so so beautiful. I have my eye on some Bird's Egg, oh and Kelp. I think I could quite happily spend a fortune on one of each, actually. The colours are inspired by nature and I don't think I've been this excited by colour in a long while. My only problem after this project is which colour do I pick next?

Sweet heaven above
