The definition of 'high hopes'

Buying a whole stack of new sewing patterns - albeit half price - is surely either a sign of madness or incurable high hopes.

Every spring I get the same 'high hope' that I will make a few pieces of our wardrobe myself this year. And every year nothing happens. Knitting? Yes, we have sweaters. But sewing? Meh, not so much.

But this year... behold...
